[Groop]New GROOpie

Hey Michael!

Welcome to the MADNESS!

While I'm not a collector of original art (couldn't
afford anything like a COLLECTION!), two years ago at
The San Diego Comic Con International I splurged. I
went to the con knowing that this year I would buy an
original GROO page from Sergio. However, I made the
mistake of doing so with one Gary Grossmann (AKA
DESESSBO) at my elbow!!! (P.S., it's generally
acknowledged by not only The Groop but Mark, Sergio,
Stan and Tom Luth that Gary is the most obsessed Groo
Fan on the planet. Who else would mangae to track down
GROO's printed in TURKEY - the country, not the bird!)

Anyhow, I couldn't decide between three pages from
IMAGE #8, and Gary insisted I wasn't permitted to buy
PAGE 7 without PAGE 8. Although they weren't FACING
pages (7 is a right hand page, 8 is the next left hand
page), the two pages really do work well together, so
I ended up buying both. Thanks Gary, there went my
whole comic con budget and then some in one swell
foop!

All kidding aside, I'm quite grateful to Gary for the
nudge, because framing these two pages to tell a
complete joke (or should I say THE joke?) is awesome,
and my prize possession.

By the way, you don't happen to have a Groo sketch
card, do you?
