Hi Folks!

Well, I think I joined the Groop sometime in early-mid 1997.  This may seem
late to some of you, but it's easily explained.  I really didn'y know how to
use a computer or send e-mail or have a clue what the Internet is or
anything like that until 1997.  Heck, I'm a Groo fan!  What did you expect?
I bought a computer when my oldest was in high school, so the kids used it,
not me.

See, it's like this.  My brother got me started on Groo when the Epic run
started in 1985 and for 10 years I was a relatively normal Groo reader.
(Whatever the heck THAT is.) Then in 1995, something went terribly, terribly
wrong. (At least that's what it says in my psychiatrist's notebook) I became
determined to find every original drawing of Groo ever published. It started
with MAD Magazine & the covers of those Marvel Ages, and just Groo & Groo!
Some people would said I was obsessed, but I am not ob..well, we won't get
into that.

Anywho, being slow of mind, it took a while before I was able to muster up
enough brain power to figure out that maybe I could find other Groo fans
like me and maybe I could find other cool Groo things using the computer and
the Internet thingy.  The rest is history.  (A strange and pathetic history,
but history nonetheless.)

Soooooo, irony of ironies, Groo is actually responsible for me learning
about the Internet and e-mails and such like.  Pretty weird, huh?  (I still
can't type worth poop, but you can't expect miracles!)
