Mike,
  You're just getting around to the Nov issue now?  Thanks for the
recognition.  It's been my only success in life!
  Actually, I haven't had many letters published, but the few times I
submitted something were special.  The one in #423 related to MAD's 50th
anniversary, and some of the oldest subscribers.  They even sent me a nice
certificate over my longstanding readership.
  A couple years ago, I got a photo of my Alfred E. Neuman pumpkin
published, and remarkably, a couple months later, they published a photo
with the pumpkin in the trash.
  A few years ago I won their contest for owning the complete set of
"subscription" protective covers.  They lost track of their own covers!
  I also had a photo published with Mia Farrow looking at the three issues
where she was on the cover.  You can see that one in their Totally Mad
7-CD-ROM set.
  Thanks again for your attention.  It's almost feeding time now!
