Hmmmnnnnn Now that's a bizarre image. The Groop
without our most obsessed member. The guy we refer to
when someone suggests we are going over the top. We
can always say, "well, I'm nowhere near what Gary would
do, or has done or is comtemplating."
I for one am always grateful for the industry and
selflessness shown by Gary in getting Groo items for
those of us to far away or not able to attend the comic
cons.
I am also appreciative of the work involved in
giving us the running accounts of the trips to cons and
sergio's studio done by the likes of Gary, Eric and
Larry. For those of us who can't attend it gives us an
understanding of events and stiffens the resolve to one
day actually make it to San Diego and take part in the
festivities.
And Larry, thanks for the kind words regarding my
son Barry. He learned to read by me reading him Groo
stories as well as the good Duck stories by Don Rosa
and Carl Barks. For a couple of months he was as
obsessed as Gary, trying to get a letter published in
Groo-grams. I gave him my "Did I Err?" shirt when he
was going to be in LA at the same time as the San Diego
con as the chance was too good to pass up. I promised
him that someone would recognize the shirt. which
turned out to be you and Owen.
