Hmmmnnnnn  Now that's a bizarre image.  The Groop 
without our most obsessed member.  The guy we refer to 
when someone suggests we are going over the top.  We 
can always say, "well, I'm nowhere near what Gary would 
  do, or has done or is comtemplating."
I for one am always grateful for the industry and 
selflessness shown by Gary in getting Groo items for 
those of us to far away or not able to attend the comic 
cons.
      I am also appreciative of the work involved in 
giving us the running accounts of the trips to cons and 
sergio's studio done by the likes of Gary, Eric and 
Larry.  For those of us who can't attend it gives us an 
understanding of events and stiffens the resolve to one 
day actually make it to San Diego and take part in the 
festivities.
     And Larry,  thanks for the kind words regarding my 
son Barry.  He learned to read by me reading him Groo 
stories as well as the good Duck stories by Don Rosa 
and Carl Barks.  For a couple of months he was as 
obsessed as Gary, trying to get a letter published in 
Groo-grams.  I gave him my "Did I Err?" shirt when he 
was going to be in LA at the same time as the San Diego 
con as the chance was too good to pass up.  I promised 
him that someone would recognize the shirt.  which 
turned out to be you and Owen.
