[Groop] The Groo Effect

I've finally fired up my e-mail after getting back from vacation & 
surviving the past 'back-to-work' week. 

By chance we left Halifax for northern Nova Scotia (5 hours away) the 
morning the huricane made land-fall.  I attribute that minor stroke of 
luck to not actually have any Groo material with me on the trip (a minor 
offence in-and-of itself, mind you!).  We experienced a wicked storm as 
it was, and when we returned to Halifax to get to the airport, we were 
amazed at the destruction all around.  Like the aftermath of a Groo 
fray.  I don't know how those folks in "hurricane country" stick around 
year after year....

The visit with Sergio (and Gary) was great, as I hadn't seen him since 
SD 2000.  He gave me a little trouble about not keeping up with the 
sergiography (jokingly: "I hear you have better things to do than work 
on that, now...").  I assured him it would be my winter project this 
year to bring it up to speed.  It was great to see everyone get a kick 
out of hearing some of the old stories we all know for the first time. 

I took some photos that I have as jpegs, if someone can spare the 
webspace to post them?

In all, I drove for 9 hours that day to visit for just under 4 hours.   
I got back home around 11pm, only to get up at 4:30am to make my red-eye 
flight to Halifax.  My wife thinks I'm getting a little too dessebo 
hanging around Gary..... :-}
