1.  The Cartoon Art Museum will host its Fourth Annual Rent Party on
Friday, April 30, beginning at 8pm.  Join us as we salute the stars of
DC Comics, with special guests Sergio Aragones (MAD Magazine), Ed
Brubaker (Catwoman), Howard Chaykin (Challengers of the Unknown), Dan
Didio (Vice President of DC Editorial), Geoff Johns (Teen Titans), Steve
Leialoha (Fables), Greg Rucka (Superman), Jen Van Meter (Cinnamon,
Hopeless Savages) and Judd Winick (Batman).

Tickets will be sold on a sliding scale from $15 to $35, with partygoers
encouraged to give as much as they can to support the museum.  Those who
pay $25 or more will receive a limited edition Batman and Robin print
illustrated and signed by current Batman artist Dustin Nguyen, which can
be seen here:

Those paying $35 or more will receive the Batman print, a copy of the
Cartoon Art Museum's Spark Generators 2 comic book (cover price $13.95)
and a special DC Comics promotional poster.

2.  Now there's a great way for you to support the Cartoon Art Museum
while you enjoy delicious nachos, fajitas, and enchiladas.

On Sunday, May 2, Chevy's Restaurant at 201 Third Street, near San
Francisco's Moscone Center, will host an all-day fundraiser to benefit
the museum.

Participation is easy.  Simply...

*Pick up a special fundraiser flyer (available at the museum, at the
museum's table during WonderCon and in a downloadable format on our
website, www.cartoonart.org)

*Then head to Chevy's for breakfast, lunch or dinner (Open from 10am to
10pm)

*When you receive your check, be sure present the flyer to your server

Chevy's will then donate 20% of all receipts that are accompanied by a
flyer to the museum.

Who knew donations could ever taste so good?

3.  Famed New Yorker cartoonist Leo Cullum will be at the Cartoon Art
Museum on Thursday, May 6,  from 7pm to 9pm to greet fans and sign
copies of his recently-released book of animal cartoons, Tequila
Mockingbird.

4.  Save money at Macy's and support the Cartoon Art Museum and other
local non-profit arts organizations on Thursday, May 20, 2004.  Purchase
a $10 ticket at the Cartoon Art Museum and you will save 20% off on all
Men's, Women's and Kids' fashion and accessories; 15% off all Fine &
Fashion Jewelry, Bed & Bath, Housewares, China, Crystal, Silver, Frames
and Luggage; and 10% off all Furniture, Mattresses and Area Rugs.  (Sale
excludes Cosmetics and Fragrances.)

This one-day sale will take place at Macy's Union Square location.  All
monies collected from the sale of Macy's Community Shopping Day Tickets
purchased at CAM will go directly to the Cartoon Art Museum.  In
addition to this, CAM will receive additional money from Macy's based on
how much merchandise is purchased with the Macy's Shopping Day Tickets
on Thursday, May 20.
