[Groop] Year became a member and mouse pad

Question: I was member during the mouse pad era. I remember some of the New
England members got together at the Museum of Sequential Art in Northampton,
MA.(now closed) '98 or '99 maybe?  It was before I bought my house and got
sick in 2000. What year was that?

I have:
Groo Statue #623

Climbing Groo Mouse Pad 43 & 45 (used) of 132
Fraying Groo Mouse Pad 40/132

I don't know if the 132 is a total of both mouse pads (66 of each?) or 132
of each mouse pad.
