My month-late-chime-in:

Lonewolf! My brothers and I have all of those books.. multiple copies, 
even. Loved 'em.

I wrote an Apple ][ version of that game engine in BASIC, but never did 
all the data entry required to make any of the books playable.. I wish 
I would have finished that.
