There were a whole series of books like this all under the banner "Choose
your own adventure". I loved them as a child. Im sure some of you
remember....does anyone actually have old copies?

VHS: This actually reminds me of a book I once saw where after every few
pages the reader could answer a question about where the plot could go. The
book then provided a few answers you could pick from and you would then be
directed to the another page to continue the story. This seems like a lot
of work for the writer so I'm not surprised the idea didn't catch on.
