[Groop] Comic Formats

Womble,
  What is your experience with DVD-R?  I want to get a DVD recorder, but again we have so many formats and many incompatibilities, and HDTV DVDs on the way, I'm not sure which model to get.
  How could you throw away your Mads?  I hope you haven't trashed your Groo.

  Hmm, I think the problem may be that you're collecting the new issue whatever the originality. 
  I wouldn't buy a trade paperback for a comic I already own. I've kept all my vinyl and only buy CDs for new material. I DVD-R recorded the VHS tapes I wanted and binned the rest (all originals I might add :). 
  I threw away my MADs :-)
