(warning ... please assume this comments is made before the statement by Mark
as I respect any of their decisions and i just want to point out my previous
points as it might already confused some)
What I said in the mail was about the legal, official Groo CD produce by the
Groo Crew when responding to Josh's comment... not the illegal one.. If we had
the legally produce, it will kill off the illegal... And i believe those who
buy the Cd are those who already have the paper based Groo... or those who
can't find the whole Groo issues... if they are new readers, then they will
find the paperbased Groo... thus, i believe there will not be "more issues in
the public domain".. anyway not many people want to sell their Groo comics as
they are true fans... ie, it is hard to find Groo comics in in the market...
The paperback demand will be there as there are still those who want to have
them.... and many would be happy to have both the trade paperback in paper and
CD version... just like people enjoyed to have the paper based and CD
collection of the National Geographic magazine... BTW.. when it is a legal
one.. the issue of stealing from the groo crew is not there... plus the price
can be as same as the paperback or cheaper (as the cost of producing it is
cheaper but the groo crew will get the same or higher amount of royalty as the
paperbased) togther with extra things such as wallpapers or screen savers...
this CD can also be included in the paperback package... Anyway, to have the
legally Groo CD can kill off the illegally produced ones...
But since the Groo Crew do not want to produce Groo on CD.. then we should
respect their decision... suggestions is left as suggestions only....
