Hi Folks!
I'm not familiar with Patrick Warburton, but I'm sure Mark is. So don't worry, Mark will get the best people for the job. Actually, I think the voice of Arcadio is probably the most generic in that it calls for a gorgeous baritone/bass dripping with egomania. Most of the voice actors I have heard speak have gorgeous baritone voices that, like a great singer, are very elastic and can make amazing sounds. So I don't think Arcadio, as most of us have imagined him, would be much of a challenge.
By the way, Mark has written (to us) that when he is writing Arcadio's dialogue he sometimes asks himself what Milos Gloriosus, the All Conquering General from "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" would say. The part calls for a gorgeous bass voice dripping with egomania.
I may be all wrong (I usually am), but I see the voice casting going something like this: We all have the voices of the characters in our heads, and so do Mark & Sergio. Only when Mark hears a written cartoon voice in his head, he's automatically thinking which voice actor or actors would be best at doing that voice. Maybe he's even thought of the voice actor he wants before he's written the dialogue just from his & Sergio's discussion of the character. So then the actual casting takes place somewhere along the line and Mark and Sergio are so in sync when it comes to Groo (They both independently came up with "Mulch" as the name of the Sage's dog, for crying out loud), that Sergio says something like "That's exactly the voice I imagined" when he hears Mark's first choice. And all is right with the world.
I know it will be a long time before the movie comes out, if it comes out at all and there are many stumbling blocks to overcome, but I am very hopeful.
Take care all -Gary G.
