Steve, Kaytee, Dougie, Dana, Eric, Scott, and one day folks like Richard and
Josh. How was the Con for you?
I spent most of the time at the Art Show-- I was "staff" this year... got a
special edition Con t-shirt as "payment", and because we were right next to the
"freebee" table, got a few goodies there as well (two t-shirts, including the
coveted(?) "Komic-Kong" one, a couple of hats, some gew-gaws like keychains
and bone-shaped pens, etc). I had two tables at the show with my beadwork.
I did go to the Sergio panels, and to a "meeting" of the UY Dojo at Stan's
booth... got the latest works by Sergio and Stan (except for the Ramones'
collection...), and checked in at Sergio's booth a few times to say "Hola!". I
wasn't up to much walking (despite popping Motrin like M&Ms), and the dealers'
"room" was stuffy and hard to navigate anyway. My two rug wolverines pretty much
disappeared once we got to the Con every day-- except to get the keys so they
could get their lunches and stow some of their swag. They objected to having to
get up early enough to get there in time for parking under the convention
center (we left home about 6:30 every day), but were glad enough to have the car
that close.
I got to talk with Tom briefly on Sunday-- he is considering having a panel
in the Art Show next year, and hopefully, a table in Artists' Alley.
