Hello!

I just wanted to drop a line to say it was great to actually meet some of
you (and, of course, Sergio) on Friday. I first saw some of you at the
panel (the cool shirts were a dead giveaway) but didn't get a chance to
introduce myself. Last year was the first time that I went, but I only went
for one day. I did get an autograph from Stan and Sergio, but missed the
Sergio/Mark show. I didn't think one day was enough last year, but two
full days was almost too much this time. By late Friday I had a bit of
visual/sensory overload-just too much input. There is so much to see it is
almost overwhelming. Probably 80% of it is things I am not interested in
(Manga, video games, Japanamation, toys, etc.), but all the art and books
and movie memorobilia was great.

I was disappointed in the Ray Harryhussen panel. Not because he wasn't
great or the discussion wasn't interesting, but the calender said spotlight
on him. I didn't know they were only going to talk about King Kong and
pitch new Kong Products. I think a lot of the attendees wanted more talk
about HIS movies,

I wish I had been able to go to the Crab Shack for dinner with everyone. My
friends fly in every year for the Con and stay with me only for the days of
the show. Unfortunately, they do not share my love for a certain Mendicant,
so I had to entertain them for dinner. Hopefully next year I can hook up
with everyone!

Had a great time, thanks for the warm reception!

Mike
