Hello Groop,
Dougie McCoy here with my con report.

Well this year was GREAT!! when to preview night to get my badge a day 
early thinking this was a good idea. Well it must have been because the 
pro line was the biggest i've every seen it. had to wait more than a 
hour to get in a smaller line to get the thing. Oh well had fun chatting 
with roomate and others in line.

Found Stan booth and picked up a book or two a chatted with for a second 
or two. When to see Scott Shaw! and give him a copy of my book ( he 
played the president with stan and sergio next to him. He was tickeled 
with the idea and liked the fact that he was wearing a Hawaii tie.
 Then walked around with roomate aimless until it was time to find 
something to eat (a 8.50 hamburger and a long walk) then to Ralphs to 
get snacks and pop for the hotel room. and another long walk on bad 
knees. ince there fell a sleep and had a good night sleep first in 4 
days so i felt great the next day.

Thursday when to the DC pannel once again this year got the from that 
you need to fill out to put your samples in for the talent search ( so I 
can get deny once again)
the headed for the pannel review area.... where i sat waiting to see if 
Marvel would get to my name on the list. Nope. but they was taking a 
long time with each person. and I was having fun talking to other 
want2be's (and made a couple contacts)  then I headed to the Disney 
comic booth to get sigh up for Friday.
after that headed to the Mark and Sergio show to meet up with people who 
have great taste in comics.  Then posed for the Groop pics with Steve, 
Gary, Larry and Kaytee. Also got my Groop pass and Groop card booth 
looked great and i worn for the rest of the con. Thanks guys. Don't 
think i hit any other panels so i must of walked around the floor until 
in was meet up with roomate and others at the DC booth. then more 
walking and something to eat...

Friday wanted to go to some more pannel today but with Marvel sending 
some much time with the interveiws i really wanted to try getting in so 
i got there hour head of time and waited with few others for the next 
day. we was all thinking how smart we here to get the early. No so fast 
when it came time for the sigh up they told us to all line up on the 
other side of the floor. It was was like a bar fight. no wait I could 
won that. it more like a track meet with people jumping over chairs and 
sprinter. And as you can tell by the Groop pic i'm no sprinter so i was 
way down the list. Oh well i have Disney at 3:00 . after that i think i 
walked around seen Gray and Larry a couple of time. Talked to some guys 
who have booth and asked them if they where looking for inkers. They 
looked at my stuff seam to really like waht they saw gave me a card and 
told me to get ahold of them and they'll mosre that likely have some 
gigs for me... Now it was getting close to my meet at Disney so back to 
my con home away from home..the portfolio reveiw area.  Meet up a couple 
of Editor from Disney at first they seamed to really like what they saw. 
One asked if i had a printer that i could print 11x 17 bluelines. "ahhh 
no but i could get one if i made some money with inking gigs"  the other 
said i could  just make them at Kinkos's then they came me a card and i 
thanked them giving them my card and samples.  thinking well that when 
good but not great.  other con stuff then off to the Groop dinner where 
we stoped at the crapshack but they was full so I went with Larry and 
Kaytee and Son # two ? to another place where there was no place in the 
inn so I and Mrs. K and son gave up me because bad knees so it was back 
to hotel. Sorry about missing the dinner...hopefully next year.

Saturday Was and is a Blur so i maight have got some of this wrong but i 
did meet up with artist that I talked to friday he asked how Disney went 
I told they gave me a card. He told oh well if they gave you a card then 
they really like me... which really pump me up  I went to see quick draw 
and Oddball comics panel and i thin that was when i found the JLU panel 
so I watch that  with was great!!!
this is one the show on TV had goosebumps watching the final great 
stuff. this time it was off to pizza hut and then to hotel where i 
stayed full and happy.

Sunday I no panel and just walked sayed goodbye...looked at missed all 
Grooper I showed my portfolio to a guy who works as a penciler for 
Archie he gave me some good pointers and really like what he saw and he 
gave me his email and told me to write him and if he hear of anything 
he'll think of me. way cool.  when to airport had a good flight to 
Denver but the flight to Omaha sucked....and the last half hour  full of 
storms and lots og bummpimg around...and me giving out little oh god all 
the way but made it home... Now I have high hopes maybe getting some 
inking gigs this time around....
