Interesting factoid - The guy who does the voice of the Cryptkeeper (that insane laugh) stars in newly released musical version of Reefer Madness, where he does the same laugh. That movie also features my wife Christi on screen (white woman seduced by Jazz music) as well as the soundtrack (vocal ensemble).

Ruben.

Mark,
I was pleasantly surprised to see your outstanding contribution to the =
new DVD release of the first season of Tales From the Crypt. As an old =
time collector of MAD and fan of all things "EC", I was thrilled to see =
that an authorized package of DVDs was out. Now I don't have to convert =
my personal hoard of BetaMax tapes.
As an old-timer and admirer of Bill Gaines, I know the history of EC =
comics backwards and forwards. But, the "Special Features" disc does an =
excellent job of presenting the story colorfully, and with historic =
footage I've never seen before.
It was sad to see Jack Davis without reference to his passing. It was =
great to see the reference to Jack Kamen, father of Dean "Segway" Kamen.
I was surprised that they didn't mention the first attempt by HBO to use =
TOC stories in a series, which was rejected by Bill, but turned into the =
pilot for The Hitchhiker. Those shows were left off the US DVD version =
of the first season Hitchhiker DVD but are available on the Canadian =
version.

I was most surprised that you seem a bit heavier on DVD than you do in =
your GROOP messages.

Gene P
