Hi Folks!
I have mentioned before that my cubicle (Or "Booth" as Sergio called it) has
all sorts of Groo stuff in it. The other day while talking to a
particularly boring tax attorney, I counted how many representations of Groo
I had in my little domain. If you only count each item as one, than it's
29. If you actually count each drawing, well then you get into some serious
numbers because I have the card sheets on display and since almost half the
cards have Groo, well, the number gets up over 100.
Of course that pales compared to the number of Groo darwings in my little
family room here, where the walls are literally covered with Groo comics.
But anyway, I was wondering if anyone else has Groo in the workplace. If
so, what reaction do you get?
I have the most colorful cubicle in the Washington State Department of
Revenue. I get two basic reactions: Boring people think it's really weird.
Fun and interesting people think it's lots of fun. Unfortunately, as you
might imagine, we have a lot of the former at the DOR, especially in
management. But the combination of the fact that a manager for the state
actually has to have a reason to stifle someone and that I have been around
so long there really isn't anything they can do with me has made it so my
Groo art is safe.
What happens with other folks?
Take care -Gary G.
