Is Groo's luck really all that bad though?  Think about it - all the
death, destruction, mayhem, and carnage that goes on around him, all
the ships that sink, all the buildings that fall down, all that bad
stuff... yet Groo's still fighting fit, perfectly healthy, and
blissfully happy.  Sure, everyone around him has appalling luck, but
you'd have to say Groo's luck is actually pretty damn good all up.
