[Groop] GROO NEWS from me

Sorry I haven't posted much in a while, folks. Been busy.

Sergio and I are still working on the script for the proposed GROO
movie. I still can't tell you for sure that the movie will ever be made
but we're very happy with how it's going.

Sergio is supposed to start drawing the GROO MEETS CONAN mini-series
next week. No idea when it'll be out.

Sergio will be a guest at the WonderCon in San Francisco February
10-12. I will *probably* be there to run some panels and appear with
him but that's not definite yet.

Either way, there will not be a conventional Quick Draw! game there.
Sergio and I have decided that the game doesn't work with pads and
easels and in the future, we'll only do it when a convention is willing
to spend the funds to get three projectors like we use in San Diego.
The Wondercon folks are only able to supply one projector so we'll do
something with that, with a one-on-one thing of me challenging Sergio
alone to draw pictures. But we won't be doing the usual game of three
or four cartoonists competing against one another. We'll be doing it in
San Diego next year, of course.

The Groo statue that's now being advertised from Dark Horse has been
modified slightly. It turns out they couldn't fit it in the boxes
because Groo's sword stuck out too much. So it's been altered a bit to
tilt the sword at a less acute angle.

In a week or so, I should have some sort of schedule about the
resumption of the GROO paperbacks. I'll post it here when I have it.

Any questions?
