George,
The New York Comic Con is defintely not being put on Comic-Con International! The organizer is a company called Reed. Comic-Con International does three shows on the west coast, Wonder Con in San Francisco, which is the week before New York Comic Coon, February 10-12, the Alternative Press Expo (APE), which is May in San Francisco, and Comic-Con International in July! Subject: [Groop] Show attendance question
Mark,
On the topic of show attendance, are you and/or Sergio coming to the NY Comic-Con, Feb 24, 2006 at the Javits? I believe it is being run by the San Diego people.

States, what about here in Canada?
ME: I get a dozen or so messages a week from someone asking -- either
about Sergio, me or both of us -- "Why haven't you appeared lately in my
area?" And the answer usually starts with the fact that no convention
in that area has invited us lately. It also can have to do with whether
the offer was something we thought we could accept.
We just turned down appearing at a comic/toy expo in Calgary next May
because it's too close to another committment we have. That's one of
the few offers we've ever had to go to Canada. If we got more, we'd be
there more often...although I don't think either of us are travelling as
much as we used to.
