[Groop] Larry Meets Peter Boyle

Ahhhh, damn! Peter Boyle was one of my absolute favorites! I have a
great Peter Boyle anecdote, too. 

Boyle was a customer at an upper east side video store that I used to
work in, and when he upgraded to a GOLD membership I kept his old
membership card; still have it! We had a very nice conversation, and I
barely noticed how empty the store was of both other customers and
fellow employees...

Meanwhile, while I was being chatty with Peter Boyle, the rest of the
store's employees were in the back room being robbed at gunpoint, and I
was oblivious! 

They were locked in the bathroom after being forced to open the safe,
and only when cops responded to a panic alarm did I slowly realize what
had happened! 

COP: Did you see him? 

ME: See who...Peter Boyle? 

My life can be way too interesting at times... 

I always hoped I would bump into him again someday so I could tell him
this story. I'm sure he'd love to know he was in a store being robbed
at gunpoint and didn't notice!
