I've been drawing Groo since I was a kid. Actually I was heavily influenced
by Sergio's style and have drawn dozens of pictures of Groo. I had a comic
strip in my high school and college papers drawn with the "cartoony" style
of cartoons instead of the "realistic" style of cartoons.(I know that some
people prefer to call them "freestyle" and "literal" instead so I hope
nobody is offended by that last statement.)
My mother was a very talented artist in realistic charcoal drawings of
terrains, horses, and Native Americans that I have always been amazed by.
However, she quit doing them because the strain of not making a mistake on
one would affect her nerves.
I have never tried to sell any drawings because, truthfully, I can look at
something and draw it very well. Making it up in my head like Sergio, isn't
something that I have been able to do with any satisfactory success. I can
imagine the images in my head, but to put them on paper...well I could never
do it well.
I have given most of my drawings away, but my parents still have a few of
Groo. Actually I drew a picture of an alien lost in a desert just a couple
weeks ago and gave it to my daughter. I'll scan that later to show you that
I'm not just making this all up. :P

P.S. Back in the late 80's I drew Groo on grid paper, and used that to
write an image of Groo in Basic. I had it on one of those huge floppies
that you used before computers had harddrives. Looked great on the Apple
IIe!
