Here is my take on comic books signed. A comic book is worth the value of a
signature until it reaches the price of the comic book, then once the price
of the comic book exceeds the value of the signature, the price increases
only 25-50%, depending on the comic book and such. For instance. You have
a groo comic book signed by sergio and mark. If the comic book is worth a
hundred bucks and the signatures are priceless, then the comic book becomes
a priceless collectible that will be cherished forever. If a comic book is
worth a hundred bucks and the signature is worth two bits, then the comic
book is worth $25-50 bucks. Same thing with sports and comic cards. My
philosophy, don't get anything signed your never going to sell it, then it's
worth all the money in the world to you. This was my advice to all the
munchkins when I worked at the local comic shop. Oh, by the way, an item
that comes signed from the manufacturer is considered mint and would never
decrease a value of a comic, since thats the way they came originally. I
just realized I could have put this in 5 posts instead of one to pad a
little, did i err?
