I was a huge fan of Sergio's work in MAD & his paperbacks.. and didn't know about GROO until I was browsing a newsstand in an airport with my family. They had a small comics rack and I saw the title "Sergio Aragones'.." and about lost my mind. I pulled out issue #33 and was absolutely stunned by the cover. I bought it and read it over and over and over while traveling.. and showed it to my cousin when we got to his house. He was a collector and had all of the GROO's in a box. I subscribed immediately and began sending Mark and Sergio some of the dumbest, most pointless fan mail ever to be written.
