[Groop] Old Mad/Sergio book

Since I sent out the e-mail about that early Groo T-shirt the
other day I started thinking about early appearances of Groo. I
remembered I have a "MAD's Sergio Aragonés on Parade" book and thought
maybe Sergio snuck in a drawing of Groo. Well after a quick scan myself
and cross referencing the 2006GrooList.pdf file, Groo does not appear to
be in it. After checking the publication date, which I believe is "First
Printing: September 1982," I can understand why. Groo had barely been in
print by then.
In any case I thought maybe, even though Groo does not appear in
it, some one in the Groop might appreciate having it... that is perhaps
for a potential trade possibly??? I honestly do not know what it would
be worth, but I figure I would try. There are a few things I am still
missing from my Groo collection. If anyone is at all interested let me
know.
Oh and Gary,
Earlier on around the time I first joined the Groop, I remember
a few Groopies talking about a Groo/Groop Membership card, which if I
recall correctly you were the producer of. Any chance there is still the
possibility of being a proud card-carrying member? I have been thinking
about that card ever since I have recently been filling in the gaps of
my Groo collection. I know I used the cliché "proud card-carrying
member" line, but I would indeed feel a bit honored having a Groo
membership card. I realize it would most likely cost money to produce,
but I am willing to reimburse you of course! Definitely let me know. :)
Best wishes to everyone in the Groop and have a pleasant
Memorial Weekend,
