The full story is something like this:

The first printing came out and Mark and Sergio were really upset with the
color separation, so Marvel promised to do another run but they screwed up
and sent it to the same color separater again with the same result.  So the
first and second printing are the same, they have the same isbn number and
the only difference is that one says "2nd printing" on the indicia page and
the price in Canada is $7.50 instead of $6.95.

When Marvel finally got around to doing it right it was 1990, which is
reflected in the copyright date on the indicia page.  The isbn is different,
the color separation is better, and the price is higher.  It does not say
3rd printing anywhere.
