Hi Folks!
Well, obviously I've been lurking for the last 6 weeks or so. Things at
Grossmann manor have been pretty hectic. The Long Suffering Mrs. G. left
her job of 12 years and started another job that turned out to be a
nightmare so now she is looking for another job. Meanwhile my job has
changed rather dramatically. After almost 28 years of flying under the radar
I am suddenly traveling around the state with the Agency Director and stuff
like that.
And now they are sending me to a Miami, Florida Boat show and an Areospace
Convention in Anaheim. So if there are any Groopies in Miami this week let
me know and maybe we can get together. Otherwise, the highlight of the trip
will probably be ogling the boat manufacturer booth babes that I'm told will
be there. I'll be in Anaheim from the 13th - 16th.
So the fact that I've been lurking lately has NOTHING to do with the heavy
medication the The Long Suffering Mrs. G. had to administer to me after Mark
told us that maybe there would be New Groo for Groo's 25th anniversary and I
got a little excited.
OK, a couple other things:
The expansion decks to the Groo Game are pretty easy to find. It's the
whole game that is a tough find and pretty expensive when it comes on ebay.
Yes, I was aware of the Capital City Platinum Collection Groos drawing. It
was part of set of 42 prints by different artists put out by the Capital
City Distributor folks who used to be in competition with Previews. It came
out in 1989 and is item 23. on the Groo Merchandise and Misc. Items section
of the Groo List.
And I am sooooo glad to hear that more Groopies will be coming to San Diego
than in 2006. The Long Suffering Mrs. G. & I will be there. We already
have our reservations. Can't wait!
