Reading back over Mark's email, he didn't say that the letters had to be 
characters, just "characters or other name from past issues", so here are 
some more ideas:

C = Cheese Dip
E = Err ("Did I err?")
F = Fool ("As any fool can plainly see")
K = Kopins
M = Mulch, Mendicant
P = Pirates ("What pirates?")
T = that blue Thing on Groo's chest
V = Vial (on Sage's staff)
