Hi Folks!
I was going to write another consolidated message, but then I had a Grooism episode that I had to pass on. I may get to the other message, but you know how it goes: So many pointless messages to write, so little time.
Anyway, very occasionally I buy a big stack of Groo comics for cheap on ebay because my local comic shop will always buy them because he says he can always sell them. Yesterday I got the notice to pick them up at the post office, so today I hopped on my bicycle during lunch hour to cycle the 5 miles or so over to the P.O. When I came out with all my Groos in tow, my back tire was, of course, flat. I guess I should ahve had my Rufferto magnet with me as an anti-Groo effect talisman. But that's not the real Grooism. That came later.
Fortunately, to paraphrase a line from the Princess Bride, my tire was only mostly flat, not completely flat, so I slowly limped back to my office on the bicycle. (It was still a little faster than walking) Not content to leave bad enough alone, I stopped at a gas station to see if the mostly flat tire would hold air at least long enough to get me back to work. But being a complete Groo-Brain, I put too much air in and "POP!!!" Now the tire was completely dead.
I continued on, Grooishly riding the bicycle, even slower now, before finally getting back to work, very late of course. One of the advantages of having a 20 year old, 28 lb., steel everything bicycle is that you can abuse the heck out of it without doing any real damage. It's the perfect bicycle for a Groo fan. Or at least this Groo fan.
I hope everyone's day went better than mine. What day is it anyway? I remember getting all excited about the New Groo Pre-Announcement and then everything is a blur for a while. Hmmm.
Anywho, take care all -Gary G.
