You can use a little water from your water bottle to help locate
the leak. You'll see bubbles with a little water. Not necessary
to submerge the entire tube.

Gary,
Maybe your bad luck with your bike had some sort of "higher"
reasoning. You obviously were and probably still are elated about the
upcoming Groo releases. Perhaps "life" felt the need to balance your
pleasantries with an unlucky day. Personally I think (and I am guessing
you would agree) one bad day on your bike is worth knowing more Groo
stuff will be coming out. :-) Being an X-messenger, I certainly have had
my fair share of bad days. I know this sounds like a contradiction, but
I think having more Groo around is better than having more technical
difficulties with a bike. :-)
By the way, in the future you might want to look into
getting some "Slime" for your bicycle tires. Slime is the brand name for
a bright green liquid, which comes in a squeezable tube. The idea is to
squeeze half a bottle into each bicycle tube. The liquid then evenly
coats the inside of your tubes as the tires spin. When you get a typical
small puncture the Slime is then naturally pressured out of the hole.
However Slime is thicker than water, so it takes some time to leak out
depending on the size of the hole, during which time it dries into a
white fibrous clog. Sometimes this completely patches the tube with
perhaps just a bit of pressure loss. Other times the puncture is just a
bit too big. Whatever happens, at the least the Slime delays complete
pressure loss while also definitely helping to facilitate finding those
punctures (due to its highly visible color) without having to submerge
the tube in water or use ultrasonic hearing to listen for that dreaded
hissing sound. There have even been a few times I had to fix a flat and
noticed as many as three puncture points, with two of those being
previous punctures I never realized I got.
