Welcome Jason,
I am glad you found the Groop. Even though I started
collecting Groo in 1984, I still learned quite a bit about Groo when I
joined the Groop. Considering you are new here (along with a number of
other newbies after the Con) and you are located in an area where you
are starving for Groo stuff, I will list a number of on-line shops where
I have found some interesting Groo collectibles at low prices. The
detailed list is toward the bottom of this e-mail in order to not bore
the rest of the Groop, who have probably seen it in the past. Before I
joined the Groop I wish I had known about these places, so maybe this
info will help you and others support your habit. :-)
You mentioned both the Groo in a Tin statue and the
miniatures, which I have both of. However, I am definitely not parting
with those. I was lucky to be a part of the Groop before the “tin”
statue was released, so I was able to pre-order it. Good luck to anyone
trying to find one of those. I would imagine eBay would be your best bet
even though it would most likely be price-inflated. As for the
miniatures, it took me a long time to track down and purchase all five
sets. The dragon was pretty hard to get, and collecting all of them came
at a cost to me, but I believe the fourth (?) “Warriors & Wenches”
miniature set is the rarest and it took me the longest to find. I am
pretty sure I probably spent over $50 on at LEAST one of those miniature
sets.
I would imagine the prices of Groo collectible will just get
higher and higher now that Groo is in its 25th anniversary and a movie
might be coming out. I have a few extra Groo items myself, but I will
spare the Groop by not listing them yet again. If anyone might be
interested write me off-list. Before anyone, who is new to the Groop and
interested in Groo stuff, writes me though, they should check out the
list I spoke of. Hope it helps.

http://www.graphittidesigns.com/
This is Graphitti's official site, so I believe all the prices are
the original MSRP. Just go to their site, then type in "Groo" as a
search, which would bring up all their
Groo-related merchandise. You can of course also go into each of the
merchandise headings to find the Groo items. Last I checked they had:
T-SHIRT
      - MISC.
            -- Groo: 20th Anniversary T-shirt
BOOKS
      - TRADE PAPERBACK
-- Life of Groo Trade Paperback
This is the graphic novel even though it is technically a
TPB.
      - LIMITED HARD COVER
-- Death & Life of Groo limited edition hard cover book.
I just checked the site and they seemed to have this in
stock.
However, there was a point the hardcover was not listed in
their inventory.
STATUES
      - Groo & Rufferto cold cast statute
OTHER GOODIES
      - CLOISONNE & SCULPTED PINS
-- Five of six cloisonné pins
            2)Rufferto, 3)Tarranto, 4)Sage, 5)Minstrel, 6)Chakaal

Sometimes, other than eBay, you can find the hard cover graphic
novel and hard cover Chronicles (as well as many other Groo
publications) at www.milehighcomics.com. They are pretty cool in the way
they stock and express the condition of their collectibles as well as
the reflected prices and you can also see just about every cover image
of every Groo publication. In the upper left type in "Groo" and hit the
"search what's in stock" button just below it to obviously see what they
have at that moment.
However, you might also want to actually hit the "Marvel Comics",
"Image Comics" and/or "Dark Horse Comics" and do a search within each of
them for Groo. By doing that you will see rather complete lists of Groo
book publications under each publisher even if the particular books you
might be looking for are not in stock. What is good about this is you
can then add a specific book to "your want list" and when mile High gets
it in stock you will be notified. :)

Apart from these sources you can also go to "Things From Another
World's" web site at
http://www.tfaw.com/Search?frompage=userinput
<http://www.tfaw.com/Search?frompage=userinput&_results_sstring_search=g
roo&_results_sstype_search>
&_results_sstring_search=groo&_results_sstype_search=
...and you will see everything they have of Groo. They have a
number of the Dark Horse trade paperbacks, which were collected reprints
of the Marvel/Epic comics. On the TFAW site when I last checked these
range in price from $5.97 to $8.96. For those who may not realize it,
all that run of trade paperbacks have titles which start in
alphabetically ascending order (for example: Library, Maiden, Nursery,
and Odyssey). The last published so far is the Odyssey. The earlier
trade paperback reprints from the "Adventurer through the "Garden" were
actually reprints by Epic/Marvel (not Dark Horse) and are much harder to
find. I believe there are also plans to continue the line of
alphabetical trade paper backs in the near future, so keep you eye out.
TFAW also has some of the other trade paper back reprints, but of
the four Dark Horse Groo Mini Series they published. On the TFAW site,
again the last I checked, they range in price from $7.77 to $8.37.
Originally there were four mini-series runs each with four comics. The
trade paper backs of these consist of four trade paper backs with their
respective four comic stories collected inside each.
Apart from publications TFAW also has the Groo Lunch Box for
$13.49. They once sold it for only $7.50. I think my local comic shop
has one for cheaper than TFAW. I presume TFAW increased their price due
to the anniversary this year. TFAW also has the 7 piece Groo PVC figure
set for $35.99, which they once sold for only $23.99. You can also
pre-order the first three issues of the 4-issue “Hell on Earth” series
as well as the soon to be released 25th anniversary special.

      Enjoy!
