[Groop] Groo Pre-orders

I finally got a chance to bike out to my local comic shops
out here in York, PA. There seems to only be two of them and basically
all I have to say is three words. Green Lantern & Grendel. :-( Those
seemed to be the only "Gr" comics they had in stock. It was not a
devastating discovery since I pretty much have all the primary Groo
collectibles, but I was just HOPING to find something rare. The closest
I came to rare for Groo stuff was a Groo lunchbox listed at about $14 to
$15, but the guy at the counter said he could mark it down even further
because no one around here really buys lunchboxes, especially not the
Groo lunchbox. As far as I know, the cheapest place for buying a Groo
Lunchbox is Things From Another World (TFAW.com) for $13.49, so if
anyone is looking for a Groo lunchbox I might be able to get one for
$10.
Apart from the Lunchbox there was ONE trade paper back from
one of the Dark Horse mini-series. The other store also had a couple of
trade paper backs, but they only had singles of just a few of the more
"recent" marvel reprints. I believe all of what I saw today can just as
easily be found on TFAW.com. including pre-orders for the anniversary
special and "Hell on Earth #1".
Sadly one store did not do pre-orders at all and the other
store only did pre-orders for customers with a "subscription" of several
comic titles or more, but of course all I am interested in is Groo. The
store with the subscriptions did say they might be getting the upcoming
Groo releases if any of their subscribers have Groo on their list, then
they would order that many plus one or two extra for the shelves. That
store is much closer to me, but as a contingency plan the other store
said they should be getting the new Groo stuff and could give me a call
when it arrives. If everything around here falls through though, then I
can most likely just order on-line via TFAW.
Let me know if anyone wants me to maybe pick them up a
lunchbox for $10 and I will see if they will still give me a deal. Of
course the $10 would not include the postage to send the box to you, but
in total it might end up being cheaper than TFAW's price with whatever
they add on for S/H.

I hope everyone enjoyed their Fourth of July. Since we moved
to PA from NYC, now we were able to buy fireworks from the local
supermarket. Luckily Groo was apparently not with us in spirit. nothing
inappropriate caught on fire. :-) Of course the upcoming comics are not
out yet and we bought MORE fireworks on the fifth because they were
marked down in price, so maybe the next round we fire off will some how
manage to burn the house down while mysteriously leaving just the
upcoming Groos. :-) Do they make fire proof/resistance comic bags?
