Alternatively, rent "The Seahawk" (1940) Errol Flynn at his
swashbuckling best as a privateer. Flora Robson makes a great QEI.
Lot's of pirates!

PS Spanish Groopies might prefer The Adventures of Don Juan.(1948) Old
Errol's last great swashbuckler. No pirates, but at least the Spanish
are not the bad guys for once.

She's the one who mandates all the privateers. The Queen delegates jobs
like this since it aids deniability. Our Prime Minister had a similar
system.
<scene>
Queen - "Who will rid one of these vexing Spaniards who are removing all
the gold from theirthe colonies which by God's will belongs to England?"
Vice-Queen - "Ah ha!" <cuts to filthy dock in Plymouth> Vice-Queen -
"Walter, here's a parchment authorising you to pillage Spanish ships"
Raleigh - "Right you are, your Royal Vice-Highness" <cuts to filthy
Court-room in Runnymede> Queen - "It was a rhetorical question. One does
not involve oneself with such things. Besides, that all stopped years
ago. Isn't there a statute of limitations in one's country?"
Womble
There are junior royals?!? Like a Vice Queen or something?
