I suggested it as a "kid friendly" type party-- I don't think anything was 
actually decided. 
 
Re: the younger kids at the con.... Saturday might be a good day for them to 
go to the zoo, or somewhere other than Comic Con. Quick Draw is Saturday 
morning, but maybe you can come to that, then head on back to your uncle's house 
and pick up your wife and kids for a day in Balboa Park (Zoo, museums, etc.), or 
at the beach. 
 
Saturday at the con is going to be... crowded. And then some. And it tends to 
be the adult costume party day. And very crowded. Some of the costumes are 
constructed in such a way that vision is impaired... and childless adults tend 
not to look down anyway, so mini-people may get trampled in the crowds. Unless, 
of course, you leave them at the Pokeman booth the whole day... and can trust 
them to stay there (it's crowded, too, but with lots of short people). If 
it's like last year, there will be people turned away at the door it's so 
crowded... and it will take 20 minutes to walk from Hall B to Hall E  out in the 
lobby... and longer if you're inside the dealers' room.
