The Art Show is part of Comic Con-- the past few years, it's been up in the
"Sails" area, right past the check-in/registration area. I like it up there
because there's lots of light and good air circulation ... the only reason I go
down to the vendor floor is to see Sergio and Stan, and if possible, find and
say "Hi!" to the various Groop members who are there (some actually WORKING
there). Otherwise, it is WAY too crowded and stuffy to stay much beyond the time
it takes to walk from Sergio's booth to Stan's, and maybe stop for a T-shirt
or such someplace, and grab a few Dark Horse bookmarks.
Con Committee would probably like to know that you speak Spanish ... there
are lots of Spanish speaking attendees, not all of whom speak English, and the
First Aid Station might appreciate help (not sure if they can use volunteers,
or if they only can use paid, California registered EMTs or such though). Don't
think there would be a call for SCUBA divers ... ya never know, though.
Somebody might throw something into the bay and then need it fetched.... On the
registration form on-line, there's a spot to check re: volunteering, and a
special check-in area at the con.
