Stay upstairs at the Art Show.... Be one of the first few people in the 
attendee entrance line in the morning so you can get in before anybody else-- this 
will give you maybe 5 minutes before the crush begins.  Find somebody there 
who is about twice your size and walk in his/her wake; this works even if half 
his/her mass is due to costuming (nobody messes with Klingons!). Go to the 
panel hallways about 15-20 minutes before the one you want starts, and take a seat 
outside the door (or sneak into the room and sit in the back, if possible).
