[Groop] Question for Mark: Movie & Hats

ME: Not exactly.  It's a long, pointless story.

ME: I don't think anything will happen that will be any different. The
movie contract merely bars us from entering into any long term
exclusive licenses.  For example, if they make the movie (and that's a
big "if"), they want to be able to go out and make deals for
merchandise based on it and they don't want us to have already made
deals that would prevent that.  For example, if they wanted to do a
videogame based on the movie, they wouldn't want to then find out that
we'd made a 20 year exclusive deal with someone else for the rights to
make a Groo videogame.

One reason that won't be a problem is that we never make exclusive,
long-term deals for Groo stuff.  We never have.  And if they do make
the movie, it'll be years before it comes out and all our existing
deals will have expired by then.
