[Groop] Groo item check list

I plan on posting the Groo eBay names I have collected sometime
tomorrow night after I get back from work, but I wanted to bring up
another idea I have also been considering.
My idea involves a massive on-line viewable spread sheet of Groo
collectibles. I was thinking it could be something like an Excel
spreadsheet where EVERY legitimate printing or publication (original
works would be WAY TOO many, specific, and complicated to include)
containing an appearance of Groo drawn by Sergio or somehow created by
the rest of the Groo-crew would be listed. The list would contain each
item's relevant info such as item type, date, size, publisher, story
titles, brief description and maybe even a thumbnail cover/front image.
In order to execute this part of my idea in a practical manner I think
it might have to require a handful of the regular and more serious Groo
item collectors to have editable access to the list to include updates
on a regular and timely basis. However, everyone involved would
obviously benefit from each other's shared knowledge. If time permits I
would certainly be willing to compile a rather thorough foundation for
the spreadsheet.
In an ideal universe perhaps we could even expand that spread
sheet further by also including Groop member names. This way it would
act as a collection check list everyone could reference on-line for
themselves as well as view to hopefully see if everyone can help each
other out. The perfect situation of course would be to have the
checklist in more of an on-line database format where Groopies could log
in and edit their profile along with their check list. Perhaps it could
even get as detailed as the amount of a specific item that Groopie has
and the condition of the best two version of that item (mint, near mint,
good, fair, etc.). I say best two versions of an item because if someone
only has an item in a crappy condition and they notice another Groopie
with at least two versions where their first is mint and their second
best version is good, then the person with a crappy version could
contact the Groopie with two version to see if they might consider a
trade or purchase.
A system like that would be pretty awesome. If people think
something like this would be beneficial to everyone, I can at least
start making up a Groo item spreadsheet complete with as much info as I
currently have. Once I post it other serious collectors on this list
could make corrections, add any significant info I may not have been
aware of, and include items I might not know even existed. I already
have a rich-text formatted color-coded list of my own collection and
want-list, which I can start to base the spread sheet on. I am not
exactly sure how we can implement photos of the items at the moment due
to additional image file hosting issues, but I can not foresee
thumbnails or expanded views being too much of a problem down the line.
