[Groop] List of eBay names

Okay, from my first recent post about gathering eBay names I
have been able to add several Groopies to the list I have been
compiling. I have made it as a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet file, but I
have also saved it as an HTML file. However I believe Excel does not do
the best job at translating its spreadsheets into HTML, so some people
may have problems viewing the file's tables in proper alignment. You can
check out the Excel file here:

...And the html formatted file here:

Hopefully having the list available to everyone will allow
fellow Groopies to avoid getting into eBay bidding wars and thus
unnecessarily inflate prices on items people want. I do not want to
single out anyone specifically, but as an example... I have heard
Groopies speak of, personally watched from the sidelines, and
experienced first hand... a number of eBay auctions where an eBay user
named WolverGeek slipped in some bids in an attempt to win certain Groo
auctions. Most of the time at the end, I or another Groopie I knew did
win the auction anyway, but it obviously came at a higher unnecessary
expense.
From what I understand WolverGeek on eBay is on our Groop list,
but acts mostly as a long time lurker. Perhaps that is why I do not have
him/her on my eBay name list, since WolverGeek might not have noticed my
older post with our eBay names. Therefore, I can only guess that is why
he/she seems hostile to his fellow Groopies when it comes to eBay.
Ever since I have been a part of the Groop I have discovered
people on this list do tend to try to help each other complete their
collections even if that does mean they might occasional beat each other
at being the first bid on an auction. Still, fare competition is usually
done in good humor, and it is good to know some of the hardcore Groo
collectors we have with us will not try to outbid each other. :)

I do not want this to sound like a threat or warning, but on a
personal level I will let everyone know... if you end up seeing my eBay
name as a bidder on an auction, well you better believe I am going to
bid VERY high. I can promise you I am not just saying that to intimidate
people either. There are only really about one or two dozen specific
items I do not yet have in my Groo want-list for me to finish what I
consider my complete collection.
Basically what that means is, if people see my eBay name bidding
on an auction and STILL want to compete against a fellow Groopie, then
you should be prepared to spend at least over $100, if not significantly
more depending on what the item is. Otherwise, if you are just shooting
blindly to see if you can sneak in and outbid me, then you are just
going to end up inflating my price. Naturally, I will end up not
appreciating that. In fact I would consider that outright rude. Would
you like it if I creeped up your bid-on auctions only to have my bids
end up increasing your ultimate price by $20-$50?
On the other hand though, you can all be comforted in the fact I
will never knowingly put in a bid on an auction if I recognize one of
your names as a bidder. If the auction is for something I REALLY want,
well I THINK I can personally live with that. :) I would much rather
keep a friend than deprive him/her from something they rightfully got
first dibs on. Although, I MIGHT want it bad enough to contact the
bidding-Groopie to see if we could work something out. I think that is
definitely fair, and I would hope my fellow Groopies would do the same
for me. I can also vouch for this honor-based system because in the past
I have worked things out regarding eBay items with a couple of Groopies.

So... there you go. That is the Groopie-eBay name list I have
compiled so far. Hopefully we can all utilize it to cooperate amongst
ourselves to fulfill all our Groo want-lists. :)
Naturally everyone should feel free to come forward and notify
me of any updates or changes in the list. Thanks everyone and good eBay
hunting...
