Not that I recall, but in Carl Barks' 1949 story Luck of the North Gladstone
Gander to rub his fabulous luck in his cousin Donald Duck's face bids on a
trunk at an auction which the auctioneer obviously thinks is junk. And of
course it turns out a big wad of money is found hidden in the lining after
Gladstone buys it for something like $5.
