[Groop] Thinking about the 2nd story in the "25thAnniversarySpecial"

Hi Folks!

Great post Al! (aka Mo orst, aka Rocky). Btw, there are still two Groo
"shorts" that have not been reprinted, 3 if you count the one in Dark
Extra, although one of them was an original story in a reprint
publication.

"Groo & the Poachers" is a 4 page original story that appeared in The
Groo Chronicles #5 and the Groo Chronicles Hardback. "Groo and the
Glut" is a 3 page story that appeared in Wizard #78. Then there is the
half page (Sunday Funnies style) "story" in Dark Horse Extra #42. That
one would be hard to reprint because of the format. But maybe the other
two, or at least Groo & the Glut," could be reprinted someday in another
Groo Special.

I think it also upholds a tradition of Groo Specials in that it reprints
something rare to go along with the new stuff, as the first Special
reprinted the first Groo story from Destroyer Duck. The Groo For Sale
story may not be terribly hard to come by, but it's a neat item to whip
out and show to casual Groo fans. Including it in the 25th makes sense
if you think about the history of the comic.

I still love reading the original Groo Special from eclipse. I think it
is one of the greatest comics I have ever read. The stories it collects
are so diverse and crucial to Groo lore... and the cut-outs are a flat
out awesome addition. But overall, the attention to detail and the sense
of adventure alive within Groo as a comic was just so unique in the days
when the book was taking shape. All the books printed under Pacific
carry a similar feel to what I'm referring to, but that Special in
particular is like a time capsule of treasures.
