[Groop] Sketch Cards

Thank you Tone (or is it Curtis Rosinbaum?) for your thorough response.
It appears there is someone out there with two actual sketch cards in
addition to the fellow from Puerto Rico who has one plus the extra one
Sergio gave out. The guy from Puerto Rico bought his cards, I think. I
wonder how the guy at the Baltimore con got his?

PS What the heck is MyLife? Is that like My Space? I haven't joined
it yet. I think I need to join "Get a Life."

PPS When Eli is writing about his gaming, I don't understand a word he
writes.

Gary,

I am very sorry to tell you I do not know whether the
two-sketch-card seller on eBay is the same two-sketch-card possessor at
the Baltimore Comic Con. I was standing at the end of Sergio's table, so
I could not see the cards up close. Even though I did ask the owner to
hold up the cards so I and the people on the line could see the sketch
cards... I simply do not remember. :-(

Sorry Gary. I do not have that good of a photographic
memory. I suppose the excitement of meeting Sergio for the first time in
my life short-circuited my long-term memory. I definitely saw and
remember Sergio closely inspecting the cards in his own hands. MAYBE
Sergio might recall if he ever saw TWO sketch cards side by side with
different years written on them.

Also, I am fairly positive the two sketch cards I saw at the
Baltimore Comic Con were each individually encased in one of those hard
clear plastic single-card display cases, the kind with a screw in each
corner. However, the two sketch cards on eBay appear to each be in one
of those semi-rigid clear stiff-plastic slip-in display covers. The card
cover/cases shown in the photos on eBay are not the same as the ones I
recall seeing in Baltimore. Of course for the purpose of selling and
shipping the cards, the eBay seller may have opted to switch the sketch
cards into a slightly lighter and less expensive slip-cover.

I know I did ask the guy at the Baltimore Comic Con if he
knew about the Groop, and he said he was aware of the Groop, but he did
not clarify if he was actually a member. I got the impression he was not
by the manner he responded though.

If you would like, I could send the seller a message and
directly ask him if he was the guy I saw at the Baltimore Comic Con.

Actually, just now I looked at the item location listed on
his auction and it says Aguadilla, PR. That is Puerto Rico. I dislike
presuming people's ethnicity because being born and raised in New York
City has certainly taught me sometimes it is impossible to tell where
someone is really from... but at the same time I have also known MANY
Puerto Ricans. With that in mind, I feel I can say with a fair amount of
confidence the dude with the two sketch cards at the Baltimore Comic Con
was NOT Puerto Rican... unless he moved there or something.
