John, Ryan,
you guys have already been generous enough. In the Epic series I'm just
needing 92 & 118. I actually have 2 copies of 92 already (both are among
the water damaged ones I mentioned previously). They are in readable
condition, but not collectible condition. I've amassed a lot of duplicates
also (in collectible condition), all of which I'd gladly give away for the
few that I need. This is why I hope that we can get the exchange up and
running, modeled on the card exchange. Understandably those with complete
collections may not want to participate as they will not really gain
anything. However, philanthropists such as yourselves might donate a few
spare issues to the cause.
I've already supplied my want list/duplicate list to Gary as he requested it
while entertaining the idea of hosting this project. I'm just waiting for
him to say "ok, pack up what you have and send them to me. I'll sort it
out."
Or we could have an online exchange. Someone who is savvy with excel or
something could probably make a nice database and match people up pretty
quickly. Inputting the data is time consuming though.
I'd actually be willing to host the project myself, but I doubt if I am as
trusted as Gary. Also, I'm not home often enough to keep up on it.
-Alex
