Hi Folks!

My ears were burning all day and sure enough I see that may name was brought up in several mesages. So that I don't drive you all crazy (and since I've already padded my post total) this time I will send a combined post:

Elie, while you are technically correct that "most" (as in more than half) of Groo issues have been reprinted in trade paperback form, Epics #61-#120 and all 12 Image Groos have not been reprinted. At least not in English. That's 72 issues, most of which, as has been pointed out, are hard to find.

But I definitely agree that "the thrill of the hunt" is half the fun. I used to travel all over the sate of Washington for my job and in the early days of my obsessive Groo searching I would stop at every comnic shop in every town I stayed in, or passed through if I had the time. This was before ebay, or at least before it got really cranked up and it was a lot of fun with some occasionaly great surprises.

Ebay is definitely a two edged sword. On the one hand there are a number of Groo appearances that I wouldn't have even known about, let alone have acquired, without ebay. On the other hand, it''s kind of a boring way to get something, plus it's kind of annoying when you have sweat blood and gone through all sorts of machinations (that no one else would have done!) to track something down, and a few months later it shows up on ebay!

As far as The Death of Groo printings are concerned. I have all three and I think the biggest difference in the color sepration is on the first page. After that, it's harder to tell. But obviously Mark & Tom & Sergio & Stan have a much more discerning eye than I do.

As for the potential for a Groo Comic Exchange, first off Alex, I can assure you we all trust you as much we trust me. In fact, maybe I trust you more than I trust me, if only because I know me so well. Anywho, I think I should beg off on doing it. I don't think I will have time to do it justice. I think that a good person to organize the actual exchange would be John T., if he's willing. He already has a store. And if anyone else wants to help him with Spreadsheets and the like, you all can work that out.

And one last thing, I did get the cutouts from Azamin years ago and I kind of let them languaish for a while, but for the last few years they have graced a prominent place on my Groo Display Bookcase. And Steve, if no one else has sent them to you, I can send you the other two pages of cutouts because I finally learned how to use my scanner. (The instructions had left out a step that probably even Groo could have figured out, but it stumped me for a while)

Take care all, Gary G.
