[Groop] Groo Festival cover

Hey Porter!

I asked Tom about the Festival cover. Groos eyes are closed in the drawing and that is how Tom colored them. The printer thought the eyes were open, despite the lack of pupils and so left his eyes white rather than follow Tom's color guide. I.e., the printer messed up and there should be no pupils.

Anyone ever end up actually doing this at the Con or Ojai?
I sadly missed both events but still think it would be hilarious.
One day I may just have to show up on their doorsteps and refuse to leave until Groo gets his pupils.
  Determined,
   ~ Porter

Random question - anyone own or ever seen a copy of the Groo Festival where Groo's eyes are actually printed correctly?

    Hey Porter!

I don't think it's possible for there to be a "corrected" cover. However, it might be fun to take a copy to a Con and have Sergio put the eyes in! In fact, I think I'll do that. A number of us should do it. Then they will be really rare, like Honus wagner baseball cards, and our grandkids can sell them for huge amounts of money in 50 years to put their kids through collge!!!

    Thanks for the idea Porter!

    G2,
    Brilliant. I'm in.
I'm picturing a swarm of irate Groopers, pitchforks, torches and copies of Festival in hand, storming SA's table like Frankenstein's castle. The crowd is finally mollified though when SA arrives, pen in hand, and spends the the entire con appplying his vast drawing skills towards drawing two tiny dots on thousands of books. Unfortunately the entire Groop is arrested when Larry gets impatient and takes another swing at ME.
    Can't wait.

    Silly Groopies,

Groo obviously has his eyes closed in that picture as any fool can plainly see. You would need to take it to Tom Luth to get him to fill in the eyes with groo's skin tone.

P.S. What do you mean slow of mind?

I'm not so sure how plainly I can see that. It could go either way. But whether tom colors it in or Sergio puts in the pupils, the fact that they did it would make the book "authentic"! Ha!
