Hi Folks!

 

I thought I was sending that last message just to Steve.    A year older, but no wiser!  

 

Thank you all very, very much for the birthday wishes.  I am (finally!) 55 years old.    As I think I mentioned once, this is a sort of big deal because both my folks passed away when they were 54 (7 years apart) .  So for 30 years or so I have been making jokes about kicking off at 54 or what I needed to do to prevent it or having an "A Live at 55" party  or a "No More Than 54" wake or whatever.    (Black humor has it's place.)  

 

So, again, thank you all for the birthday wishes.  They are much appreciated.  I received the first one from Dr. Bubble the day before my birthday and thought that she was a day off, until I realized that in the Phillipines it WAS already September 21 when she sent the message but by the time I figured that out it was September 21 here so I was both slow of mind and completely confused all at the same time.    How approproprite.
