Seconded! Last summer, Elie and I got to be extras in an independent film (so, no union lunch table). It's an epic fantasy-style movie - very Groo-esque in the period - so we got wardrobe and everything, and between takes, the fight coordinator was giving swordfighting lessons. I wanted to keep the dress they had me in! I'm not sure who was happier: me, for getting to wear the dress, or the wardrobe people for having an extra that the dress would fit.
One lesson we learned the hard way: wear sunblock if it's an outdoor shoot. We forgot that our job description was basically "Stand outside all day in exchange for a ham sandwich." The aforementioned dress was white on the right side, red on the left (once I had it on right-side-forward...funny story there), and as the day progressed, my neck shifted from matching one side to matching the other.
