I'm glad you were able to meet him and watch him draw. It's fantastic, isn't it?? I've been reading GROO my whole life, too and Sergio's work is one of the building blocks that built the foundation of my art career. He (and POPEYE) inspired me throughout my life and I was fortunate enough to meet him twice!

I attended the Emerald City Comicon on Saturday, March 5, 2011 and had the chance to meet Sergio Aragones. He is a wonderful person! He even drew me a picture of himself.

I have been a fan of Groo my entire life. To actually meet my favorite artist, to shake his hand... I have no words to express my delight. Of course, I spent most of our short encounter babbling and squeaking. I am so glad to have met him!

Originally, I just brought a copy of Groo #10 from 1985 in hopes of getting an autograph. I figured the cover art was a good example of why I love Mr. Aragones' art; lots of stuff going on, humor, and Groo.

My husband got a Groo cap and Mr. Aragones signed it and drew a little Groo on it. Watching him draw was amazing. He is so fast and it just happened.

Later, I purchased a book of art from over a large portion of his career, and he signed that for me. That is where he drew himself. Again I was amazed to watch him draw so quickly.

Mr. Aragones was even happy to pose with me for a photo. I am so thrilled!
