Hi Folks!
 
Hey Anil, thanks for letting everyone know about stuff like the Bakotopia program cover.  It is a way cool Groo cover. Some of us had contacted the guy around the time of the con and he was going to send them to us-they were free-but then he must have figured he could make some money so he bagged out on us and never sent a thing.  Fortunately, I didn’t just rely on him.  Scott Shaw! was there and he sent me a couple.  
 
I hope he does both the Women warriors and the Lizard warriors (there will be two) but the pattern has been one of Groo fraying and one of something else, so we will see.  
 
Packrat has not been a member of the Groop for quite a while, unless he is a super lurker, and frankly when he was liquidating a lot his Groo collection a couple years back a couple members of the Groop that dealt with him were not pleased with the quality of the items they received or, more importantly, his owning up to that lack of quality.  I never had any problems with a few trades we did (many years ago) but I would be careful.
 
(Psst.  Anil!  It’s Malaysia, not Indonesia)  And by the way, Azamin, that wonderful and loyal Grooper Trooper,  will not be able to help you with the Malaysian newspapers because:  1) The newspaper stopped publishing Groo pages in June, 2000.  2)  The newspaper stopped publishing at all a few years later (what did they expect after publishing Groo?)  3) Newspapers don’t last very long in Malaysia between the climate and recycling, and finally 4) If Azamin did run across any old newspapers with Groo, he’d send them to me!  Or at least check with me first.  Sorry. (Oink, oink).  I’ll send you a high quality color photocopy if you like.  
 
I hope keeping Anil’s message on this e-mail is OK. 
 
I need to stop these informational e-mails and write something completely ridicules.

Hello Groop,

I emailed you guys the other week about an excellent Groo item on ebay (that I am unaffiliated with) - a rare cover by aragones with Groo on it from Bakatopia Comic Con 2009.  The seller sold out very quickly after I sent you guys the other email but after corresponding with him he has listed 10 more at least 2 of which were snatched up by a fellow Grooper late last night.  

There are currently 7 left and I expect them to sell fast following this email alert.

Thanks to all for their Emerald City Con reports.  I am very excited about the next litho(s) by sergio and hopes he chooses the one vs the women warriors as one of them already shows him fighting the monkey people.  Still hoping for the chance to Meet Sergio like the lucky bunch on the Groop that waste no time reporting it - maybe if he comes to the east coast again this year I will make it.  

Also - is packrat still a member here?  He hooked me up with a few Groo cards years ago and wanted to thank him again for his generocity - if you're reading this, thanks a lot!  It was probably 10 years ago or so.  Azamin - email me about those elusive indonesian newspapers, I want one badly.
