Subject: [Groop] OT Asterix
I've been re-reading all my old "Asterix" comix for the first time in about
twenty-five years and had forgotten just how wonderful they are.
Never appreciated the amusing word-play last time around. BUT definitely
notice that the words don't always fit in the bubbles. guess it's
symptomatic of the translation process - anyone know if it was corrected in
later editions or is this just tolerated in translated versions of all
comics ??
And for some reason (???) I've also got this desire to re-visit the Tintin
books but second hand prices seem to be high for some reason (????) and the
new hardback collections all seem to be in a small A5 format. why why why
!!!
M.
